Svexa expanding to running, with athlete Johan Rogestedt aiming for European Championship this week

Here at Svexa, we're continuing to expand the range of sports that we assist with our unique algorithms, analytics and software products. We're excited to move into middle distance running, and proud to announce that we recently started working with elite runner Johan Rogestedt and the Swedish Track & Field Federation. Johan was youth world 800m champion in 2009, has won 11 national championships and is current Swedish national 1500m champion (both indoor and outdoor). With Svexa's help, he's aiming for the upcoming Olympics. He will also be bringing his wider skills to bear and joining the Svexa team as a software engineer!

Johan is competing in the 1500m European Indoor Championships from March 4th. GOOD LUCK JOHAN!

"Data is constantly being monitored and recorded by athletes and their coaches. As an elite runner and software engineer, I believe we can make great things happen in the field of optimized training and injury avoidance. With proper tools and analysis methods, we can turn the data into personal records. To work with my two biggest interests, running and numbers, at a world leading company such as Svexa is a truly inspiring situation!" - Johan Rogestedt

"Svexa is a fantastically exciting project, and the next level in even better refining the details in the runners' training planning in their quest towards reaching the international top elite!" - Ulf Friberg, Head Coach for Sweden Middle Distance Running (on site from Torun, Poland, at the European Championships)
