Interview with Mikael Mattsson - why calorie counters aren't as accurate as you may think

You may be kicking off 2021 with a new resolve to watch what you eat, balancing calorie intake with what you burn in exercise. It's a great idea, but you have to be careful how you get your data! In this interview with Business Insider, Svexa's CEO and Co-Founder Mikael Mattsson explains how calorie counters in exercise machines like ellipticals and treadmills often are not very accurate. So keep exercising and eating healthily, just don't assume these machines are completely accurate!

As well as being CEO at Svexa, Mikael is Senior Researcher (PhD) at Stanford University and Karolinska Institute. Adjunct Professor at Blekinge Institute of Technology. Expert Digital Health at RISE with over 20 years experience of training elite athletes.
